HAM has proudly sponsored the Youth Achievement Award for the past 4 years

The aim of these awards is to bring awareness and recognition to young people who have shown courage and strength by continuing with their studies whilst receiving cancer treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital. It is for patients of the Marsden aged 15 to 25 who have passed their GCSEs or A levels, finished their year at University or completed any other exams whilst on treatment.

Also in recognition of patients who have engaged with the schoolroom whilst on treatment and have tried to continue with their education but have not taken any exams, or have not been able to pass exams this time.

This acknowledgement is essential due to the extreme circumstances these young people are coping with whilst going through a significant time in their educational lives. Their efforts and sacrifices are to be acknowledged by their academic community, the Multi Disciplinary Team and their family and friends.
